Ullapool is a small village on the west coast. We went there one afternoon, and though there wasn't a lot of snow around there, it was very cold. If anyone has ever seen the film "Local hero" then it's that sort of place. It was that cold that Elaine just HAD to go into the local woollen mill and buy postcards and a scarf to keep warm. I was slightly puzzled as to what use the postcards were. Maybe she was going to make a fire ?
